Chocolate Cake
“STRESSED” spell backwards is “DESSERTS” so here’s presenting delicious delight of chocolate cake layered with ganache to make bakery like cake at home which will be a complete stress buster from your everyday routine. This chocolate overload cake with rich chocolate sauce is nothing less than a magical treat to your taste buds.

Ingredients
- 100 gm all-purpose flour (maida)
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- 100 gm butter
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 gm condensed milk
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp chocolate essence
- Sugar syrup
Chocolate Icing
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 4 cups dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp butter
How to proceed
- Sieve the dry ingredients i.e flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, powdered sugar and baking soda together in a bowl twice.
- Add essence, condensed milk, butter and milk to the above mixture and mix it well.
- Grease the baking tin generously with ghee (clarified butter)
- Place the batter in the tin and bake it at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
- In order to make the cake soft and moist, add the sugar syrup in between when you cut the cake in parts.
- Heat the sugar till it dissolves in water and allow it to cool completely.
- Allow the cake to cool in the tin for 10 minutes.
- Unmold the cake from the tin.
Chocolate Icing
- For chocolate icing, heat cream in a pan and switch off the gas before it starts boiling.
- Pour this cream over the crushed dark chocolate and also add butter for extra shining.
- Mix it well and allow it to rest for 3 to 4 hours.
- Cut the cake so as to level it.
- Coat the second layer with sugar syrup.
- Cover the second layer with chocolate icing
- Use a pallet knife after putting it into hot water.
- Repeat the same process for the second layer of cake.
- Before you perform the final finish, set the cake for 10 minutes in freeze.
- In order to get the shine back of the ganache, heat it for 10 seconds in the microwave and apply it over the cake.
- Heat the ganache for another 30 seconds and pour it over the cake.
