Indian Tea

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp loose tea leaves
  • 2-inch piece of lemongrass
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 cup milk
  • Sugar as per taste

Method of Preparation

  • Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan. Add lemongrass to it and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add 1 tsp of loose black tea leaves and allow it to steep for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Add ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and cloves and stir to combine.
  • Add 1 cup of milk and sugar as per taste.
  • Return to low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until heated through.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
