  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup clarified butter (ghee)
  • 1.5 cup water
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tsp dry fruits cutting

Method of preparation

  • Heat a Kadhai or thick bottomed pan and add clarified butter/ghee to it.
  • Add wheat flour and roast well until the colour changes. Keep roasting on low flame for 6 to 7 minutes. Keep aside.
  • In another pot, bring 1.5 cups of water to a rolling boil.
  • Once the water is boiled, add it to the wheat mixture and stir it continuously to avoid any lump formation.
  • Switch on the burner on low flame again once you add water to the mixture.
  • Now add sugar and continue to stir till the sugar dissolves completely and gets absorbed by the wheat flour.
  • Add cardamom powder and dry fruits of your choice.
  • Switch off the flame when the Sheera starts leaving the side of the pan and ghee becomes visible at the sides.
  • Garnish it with the dry fruits of your choice.
