Dahi Kabab

Dahi Kebabs have always intrigued me. The craftsmanship involved in making this delicate starter is quite easy and it takes a lot less time to make that melt in mouth kebabs.

It is a famous crisp snack starter recipe and is very popular in the northern part of India. Hung curd with some spices stuffed in bread crumbs has a unique taste. This can be eaten as it is but tastes great with green chutney.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup hung curd
  • ¼ cup coriander finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger finely chopped
  • ½ cup grated paneer
  • 2 tbsp gram flour (besan)
  • 1 ½ tbsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • ¼ tsp red chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste

How to prepare

  • Take a deep bowl and mix all the ingredients except bread crumbs.
  • Grease your palm with oil (so that tikkis don’t stick to it) and make tikkis out of the prepared mixture.
  • Cover it with bread crumbs.
  • Fry it on medium flame till it turns golden brown.
  • Serve immediately
