Curd Sandwich
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it should be healthy and filling. This curd sandwich is one of my favourite breakfast recipes. It is super easy to prepare and tastes heavenly. It is a perfect solution to hunger pangs in a healthy way.
Adding curd in multiple ways can be extremely beneficial for health. It is good for digestion, strengthening our immunity, reducing blood pressure and also rich in calcium and good for bone health. Adding veggies is also an add-on to a healthy diet. We can also use whole wheat bread or brown bread for this recipe.
How did Sanchwiches get their name?
Any bread enclosed convenience food with different types of fillings and dressed with a variety of condiments come to our mind when we think of sandwiches. Before starting with this recipe let us dive deep into the history of sandwiches.
The sandwich is named after John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich and an 18th century English Aristocrat who started a craze for eating beef between two slices of toast. It is said that he ordered his valet to bring him meat tucked between two pieces of bread. He was fond of this form of eating because it allowed him to continue playing cards and without getting his hands greasy from eating meat with his bare hands.
The Wall Street Journal has described it as Britain’s “biggest contribution to gastronomy”
