Potato Cutlets is a good old snack to be relished for cosy mornings or evenings. It is used to be the best combination for tea and coffee. These are a quick fix kind of kabab/cutlet that tastes amazing on its own or in a wrap. You can also serve it as starters at parties. Boiled and mashed potatoes perked with everyday taste givers like ginger, garlic, green chillies and coriander will surely give you a drool-worthy experience.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized Potato
  • 1 green chilli finely chopped
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp carom seeds
  • 1 tbsp gram flour
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

How to prepare

  • Pressure cook the potatoes, remove the skin.
  • Take a bowl and mash potatoes until smooth. Add green chillies, onion, coriander, gram flour, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice and all spices.
  • Mix everything well to make a non-sticky dough.
  • Grease your palm with oil and roll the dough to balls. Flatten them gently and make thick patties.
  • In a non-stick pan, add 1 tbsp of oil for shallow frying. When the oil turns hot, gently place the cutlet in the pan. Flip the cutlet carefully and fry them until golden and crisp.
  • Serve with green chutney or ketchup or devour it with tea.
