Orange Juice is a great source of Vitamin C and immunity-boosting antioxidants, which makes it a perfect breakfast drink. Just one glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, which consists of two oranges, can cover the daily requirement of vitamin C for an adult.

Apart from being rich in Vitamin C, Oranges also offer unique health benefits in the form of reducing body fat, healthy vision and relieving stress. However, we should avoid packed juices available in the market. Packed juice is not healthy when compared to natural juice. Sugar, flavour and colour along with the preservatives made it lose its healthiness.

In preparing orange juice you can use sugar if your oranges aren’t quite sweet. You can also use honey or jaggery or any other sweetener of your choice.

Ingredients

  • 4 Oranges
  • Sugar
  • 2 tsp lime juice (optional)

How to prepare

  • First of all, cut the oranges horizontally and deseed them with the help of a knife or spoon. Peel the skin off and cut them into small pieces.
  • Combine all the ingredients along with ½ cup of water and blend in a mixer till smooth.
  • Strain the mixture using a strainer.
  • Add ice cubes to each glass and pour equal quantities of drink over it. Serve immediately.
